Steelers face Vikings at Wembley Stadium

Match between 0-3 teams not what the NFL expected

Back when this game was announced, it was looked upon as an event that will help to push the NFL brand in the United Kingdom. Then reality came calling.

The Minnesota Vikings have yet to get off the ground this season falling to the Lions, Bears and the Browns while the Steelers have succumbed to the Titans, Bengals and the Bears.

Adding insult to injury, Vikings QB Christian Ponder is now listed as doubtful with a rib injury picked up against the Browns.

“we’re going to push it to the limit and see what we can do, in a smart way. But I’m doing everything I can to play,” Ponder said.

Steelers hope to restart ground game at home

The Pittsburgh Steelers, still reeling from a 27-24 heartbreak loss last weekend will attempt to regain form against Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals.  For the Bengals, a victory against the Steelers could conceivably knock them out of the playoffs.

Steelers LB Larry Foote but it succently

“We’re going to see what we’re made of. We’re going to fold to the pressure or make love to it,” Foote said.

For the Bengals, it will take Dalton a near perfect game and the knowledge that the team controls their own destiny.

“Yeah, we’ve got everything in front of us. We’ve put ourselves in a good position to control everything,” Dalton said.  “So these last two games are two big games for us. We’ve got to come out and show what kind of team we are, and there’s not better opponents to do it against than the Steelers and the Ravens.”
