Steelers looking for Receivers to have a huge impact

With 11 Wide Receivers on the current Steelers roster, the team believes that this could be one of the deepest in the NFL at the receiver position.

“I think some guys that are pretty good football players probably won’t make the team,” Offensive Coordinator Todd Haley said

The receiving squad are led by recently signed veteran Lance Moore who brings 4,281 yards and 38 touchdowns from the New Orleans Saints who cut him and RB Darren Sproles this off season. Moore caught some flack when he was asked to compare quarterbacks Drew Brees and “Big” Ben Roethlisberger.

“I would say that Ben has a little bit stronger of an arm, maybe a lot stronger arm,” Moore told ESPN. “Just from the last couple of days with him here, that’s something that kind of jumps out at me. If you are kind of lazy with your eyes the ball will zoom right past you. That’s something that I will have to adjust to. I feel like the quarterback should never really have to adjust to the receiver.”

Saints fans went crazy over those comments prompting Moore to tweet a follow up.

“Everybody down south is mad now? Never said I disliked Drew or am not thankful for my time w him. Wouldn’t be where I am w/o him. Chill out,” Moore posted on his Twitter account.

Be sure to get out and cheer on your Steelers as they attempt to get back into the playoffs and line themselves up for another Super Bowl run.  Plenty of cheap tickets and great seats are available.

Steelers drop Overtime game to Cowboys

In his second game back from injury, Ben Roethlisberger and his Pittsburgh Steelers dropped another game but Ben is taking the blame for this one.

“Yes, absolutely,” he said after being asked if he let his team down. “One-hundred percent. This is on me. I let the team, the fans, everybody down.”

The Cowboys have won their last two games and are facing the New Orleans Saints next week while the Steelers take on the Cincinnati Bengals on the 23rd of December.
