A win needed to keep playoff hopes alive.
When you think of the Pittsburgh Steelers (6-5, 2nd AFC North), you think smothering defense but this season, the Steelers have had their problems with opposing teams air games. To date, the Steelers are giving up 263.9 yards passing and just over 100 yards on the ground, giving up 20.2 points per game.
Defending Odell Beckham will be key.
“They’ve won six in a row, so there hasn’t been a lot of success lately,” cornerback Ross Cockrell said of Beckham. “We just have to do whatever it takes to win the ballgame, whether that’s turnovers, whether it’s disruption, whether that’s blitzing off the edge and trying to get to the quarterback. We’re going to try to change it up and show them some different things.”
This will be only the 4th time in the two teams history they will meet in Pittsburgh. The last time the New York Giants (8-3, 2nd NFC East) visited the Steel City was in October 2008 where they walked away with a 21-14 victory.
